JR東日本長野支社が「懐かしの塗色車両」を導入へ　211系「スカ色」・キハ110系「秋田リレー号」復刻塗装が登場

2025年11月7日、JR東日本長野支社は沿線地域の活性化を目的として、211系およびキハ110系に特別塗色を施した車両を導入すると発表しました。いずれも過去の名車両をイメージした復刻・再現塗装であり、鉄道ファンの間で大きな話題となっています。

一方、キハ110系の「秋田リレー号」塗装は、1997年まで秋田支社で活躍していた特急車両のカラーリングを復刻。現在、飯山線に所属する元秋田車という縁から、長野での復活が決まりました。

On November 7, 2025, JR East’s Nagano Branch announced the introduction of specially painted trains—211 series and KiHa 110 series—as part of efforts to revitalize local communities along the railway lines. These trains feature revived or reimagined color schemes inspired by iconic past vehicles, and have already sparked considerable interest among railway enthusiasts.

The 211 series in “Suka Colors” is a tribute to the 115 series that once operated on the Chūō Main Line and other routes. This project is part of a broader trend at JR East’s Nagano Branch to bring fan-imagined “fantasy liveries” to life—making a long-held dream a reality.

Meanwhile, the KiHa 110 series in “Akita Relay Express” colors revives the paint scheme of a former express train that served under JR East’s Akita Branch until 1997. The vehicle now belongs to the Iiyama Line fleet, making Nagano a fitting location for its revival.
